Hi there!
I’m so sad that I wasn’t able to say goodbye in person. The past week and a half has been a whirlwind. As the number of Covid cases and national restrictions started to grow I made the decision to pack up my apartment early and drive out to San Francisco. I started the trip yesterday and made it through 4 states in 11 hours! I should be in SF by Saturday 🙂
I’m going to miss both of you, and everyone else who became my little Feeding Hands family. I want to thank both of you and all of the volunteers for what you do every Tuesday and all the days in between. I feel so lucky to have been able to be there with you and contribute to the visible and incredibly real impact that you make in communities throughout NJ. What you’ve taught me is an invaluable lesson in compassion and empathy for others, especially when we don’t know what someone else’s day or life has been like. I’ve become a less judgmental and more generous person because of the time I’ve spent at Feeding Hands. Thank you for changing my life for the better.
I love you both, will miss you but will absolutely see you one Tuesday, hopefully in the not too distant future.
