As we engaged in addressing the needs of the poor and unemployed in our area, we discovered the truth about the blessings of Christ’s command to the church to care for the poor. There are so many needs and so few hands! So many blessings available to those who act!

Would you expect to thoroughly understand your field of employment if your only understanding of it was through classroom study? Of course not! When we left school and started to apply what we learned in school to real life problems and opportunities in our chosen occupation, the lessons took root. The truth of the Word also becomes understanding when we apply what we learn from reading, sermons, and study to real life. We found greater understanding of the Bible, grew closer to God, and found the satisfaction that comes with following our true purpose…giving glory to our creator.
